This will be public meeting with an emphasis on the implications of Heinz's work to human affairs, particularly the organization of organizations.

We wish to maintain a broad perspective in this conference, while emphasizing applications in business and enterprise operations.

The themes for the three days, corresponding with Heinz von Foerster's imperatives, are:

November 10:

Imperative of Change:   If you want to remain yourself, change!

November 11:

Imperative of Learning:   If you desire to see, learn to act!

November 12:

Ethical Imperative:   Act so as to increase the number of choices!

There will be in-depth panel discussions between featured speakers each morning, followed by small groups who will actively engage in case studies, workshops, or playshops each afternoon.

Panel members will be distributed among the afternoon groups so that participants can converse with them directly.
