Stating your interest and Applying for a place
The central event is the public conference, Cybernetics: Art, Design, Mathematics — A Meta-Disciplinary Conversation running from the evening on 30 July to 2 August.
See the scale of fees payable.
See also the schedule of important dates and deadlines.
Those applying for a place at the main conference may select to apply to attend the tutorials on recent developments in cybernetics in the afternoon of 30 July, and to take part in the follow up workshop, 3 to 5 August, inclusive.
Applications must include a personal statement of no more than 2,500 characters (about 400 words), in English, explaining why you are interested and what you will bring to the conference. We are interested in encouraging conversation. The statement will play a major role in helping the organising panel select attendees. It will also be published as part of the conference package.
Those who need or want to publish a refereed paper Will be accommodated, even though the conference is concerned with discussion rather than paper presentation. Please visit the section Papers and Publications.
American Society for Cybernetics members may, if they want, apply for a place at the ASC private meeting and at no other event.
Conference attendees may chose to join the ASC at a specially reduced price (see Registration Fees).
