We ask conferees to create a tie in analogy to the “standards” participants created for last year’s conference. The ties are to introduce yourself and your interests, to help engaging others in conversations and be worn throughout the conference. The ties will summarize how you see yourself and are a way in which you can make yourself known and entice others to join in conversation with you. This use of ties during this conference is inspired by the tie theme of our conference venue. The hotel specializes in ties: Guests should bring ties to be left at the hotel.
