Transport to Washington D.C. is easy both from a wide range of international destinations, and within the North America, through a variety of means.

The railway company Amtrak runs some very good (and fast) services to Boston and New York; Chicago via Pittsburg and Cleveland or Cincinnati and Indianapolis; Virginia Beach; and Charleston, Savannah, Orlando and Miami — among others. Greyhound Coaches are also operating to and from Washington.

Other motorised transport can benefit from the US’s vast network of roads.
