Biographical Info: I studied architecture at the University of Cambridge and then at the Bartlett, UCL, where I first encountered cybernetics through Ranulph Glanville. I have recently submitted an AHRC funded PhD by Architectural Design at UCL (supervised by Neil Spiller and Ranulph Glanville) in which I explore connections between questions about epistemology, ethics and designing architecture using second-order cybernetics as a point of departure. I am a Senior Lecturer in Architecture at the University of Brighton where I teach design studio as well as coordinating the second year of the undergraduate course.
