Biographical Info: Eric W Cooper is a professor in the Department of Human and Computer Intelligence, College of Information Science and Engineering, Ritsumeikan University, Japan, and currently in the Soft Intelligence Laboratory. His research interests are affective engineering, applications of neural networks and other intelligent systems, color selection support systems, and modeling user affect in interactive systems. Cooper received a bachelor’s degree in fine art from the Maryland Institute College of Art (1992), a master’s degree in Systems Engineering from Ritsumeikan University Graduate School of Science and Engineering (1998), and a PhD in Engineering from Ritsumeikan University (2002) for his work in developing intelligent color design support systems.
