Biographical Info: Stuart Umpleby is a professor in the Department of Management and Director of the Research Program in Social and Organizational Learning (www.gwu.edu/~rpsol) in the School of Business at The George Washington University. He teaches courses in the cross-cultural management, organizational behavior, process improvement, systems thinking, and the philosophy of science.
